ProCredit Bank in Germany is part of the ProCredit group, which is the main bank for small and medium-sized enterprises and private clients in eleven countries in South Eastern and Eastern Europe.

In Germany, we focus on SMEs with business relationships in these markets. We also provide long-term loans for sustainable entrepreneurial investments in South Eastern and Eastern Europe in cooperation with the local teams of the respective ProCredit banks. As the group's correspondent bank, we manage Group Treasury, foreign payments and trade finance. With our activities, we want to make an active contribution to ecologically and socially sustainable economic development in the region.

(Senior) Credit Analyst (w/m/d)

Your tasks

  • Assessing credit risk of SMEs in Germany and in Eastern and South Eastern Europe, in cooperation with the other ProCredit banks
  • Performing qualitative analysis of business models in various markets and industries, as well as quantitative analysis, e.g. on the basis of financial statements and cash flow projections
  • Preparing internal ratings using the methodologies created by the ProCredit group
  • Presenting credit opinions to the credit committee for decision as well as taking independent credit decisions and monitoring exposures within the framework of the defined authorisation levels
  • Supporting the drafting and update of procedures/processes for credit analysis, procedures/processes for collateral valuation and other procedures and organisational guidelines
  • Contributing to the improvement of internal processes and the implementation of projects on specific topics

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of economics and/or training in a banking institution
  • Professional experience in the banking and financial services industry, specifically in assessing credit risk of business clients
  • Sound knowledge of analysing the annual financial statements of SMEs
  • Knowledge of the requirements arising from KWG, MaRisk and CRR, and of collateral processing in business lending
  • Ability to work well in an intercultural and international environment
  • Highly developed analytical skills and an ability to comprehend complex situations and understand the various markets and legal systems
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English; German is an advantage. Other foreign languages such as Serbian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Romanian are also an asset
