ProCredit Bank Germany is a 100% subsidiary of ProCredit Holding AG & Co. KGaA, located in Frankfurt/Main.
ProCredit Holding is the parent company of the group and the superordinated company of the group from a regulatory point of view. It is a financial holding company pursuant to the Capital Requirement Regulation (CRR) that does not have a banking licence itself but for which the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht, or BaFin) and the Deutsche Bundesbank exercise group supervision. As such, ProCredit Holding is responsible for the strategic management, capital adequacy, reporting, risk management and proper business organisation of the group pursuant to section 25a of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz - KWG).
